The Government of Maharashtra has partnered with Microsoft to launch MahaCrimeOS AI, an AI-powered policing platform designed to transform and accelerate cybercrime investigations across the state.
Unveiled by Satya Nadella, Microsoft’s Chairman and CEO, during the Microsoft AI Tour in Mumbai, the initiative marks one of the most advanced uses of AI in law enforcement in India.
Developed by CyberEye, in collaboration with MARVEL (Maharashtra’s Special Purpose Vehicle for AI governance) and the Microsoft India Development Center (IDC), the platform represents a major leap in India’s AI-driven governance and policing.

MahaCrimeOS AI is a Microsoft Azure-powered digital investigation platform that uses artificial intelligence to streamline, standardise, and speed up cybercrime case management.
Currently deployed in 23 police stations in Nagpur, the platform has shown outstanding results in its pilot phase.
