About the Employees’ Enrolment Scheme – 2025

  • The scheme allows employers to voluntarily enrol unregistered employees and regularise previous compliance under the EPF & MP Act, 1952.
  • Applies to all establishments, irrespective of their existing EPF coverage.
  • Employers must file declarations online via the EPFO portal, linking each with a Temporary Return Reference Number (TRRN).
  • Multiple declarations are not permitted.
  • The declaration can be made only for employees who are alive and still working in the establishment on the date of declaration.

Eligibility and Conditions

  • All establishments (including those under inquiry under Section 7A, Para 26B, or Para 8 of EPS-1995) are eligible.
  • Inquiries under these sections do not disqualify an employer — only Rs 100 nominal damages apply.
  • Employers making a truthful declaration will face no suo-motu compliance action by the EPFO.
  • False declarations or suppression of facts will make the submission void and attract penal action under the EPF Act.
  • Employers under this campaign are also eligible for benefits under PM-VBRY (Pradhan Mantri Vyavasayik Bima Rin Yojana), subject to its terms.
